Fort St. James, BC
Zandra Ross has been working with Nak’azdli Whut’en since 2012. Projects have included community workshops, a two-day Fort St. James community crime prevention strategy session for the purpose of developing community owned crime prevention strategies, strategic planning and team building.
College of New Caledonia
Zandra Ross was honoured to conduct staff team building with the College of New Caledonia Student Service Department in 2016 and the Executive Academic Team in 2018. In addition, she provided student workshops via the Aboriginal Resources Centre.
Philippines – Canada Environmental and Economic Management Project
(funded by Canadian International Development Agency)
Zandra Ross travelled to Davao City, Mindanao for one month to support the organization to engage the local Indigenous communities that lived throughout the Talomo-Lipadas watershed in environmental protection. This included meeting with local government officials, cultural and education institutions, corporations and industry, indigenous leadership and local environmental projects i.e. recycling programs.
The end result was a best practices guide for engaging indigenous communities in environmental protection, a workplan for undertaking community driven solutions and an enhanced understanding by all parties of the importance of retaining and utilizing traditional indigenous methods of protecting the watershed in conjunction with contemporary strategies.

Zandra Ross has worked with these communities to develop community engagement strategies to educate their members about the BC Treaty Commission Agreement in Principle (AIP) prior to community ratification of the AIP.
She also provided engagement training and one-on-one coaching to the individual team members when needed and assisted the community coordinators to develop policies and procedures for managing the entire community engagement process.
Canadian Vocational Training Centre
Zandra Ross provided self care for busy professionals and team building activities for the Canadian Vocational Training Centre.
Zandra Ross began working with the Sto:lo Nation 2012 and has provided a variety of facilitated sessions including strategic planning, staff team building and skill development workshops.
College of New Caledonia
Zandra Ross was honoured to conduct staff team building with the College of New Caledonia Student Service Department in 2016 and the Executive Academic Team in 2018.
This workshop made me think outside the box, and I realize this can be used in all aspects of my life.
